The Project

OpenFortune is a media platform that connects brands to consumers at scale- via fortune cookies. They took all the traditional fortune cookies that we all know and love and gave brands the chance to improve the overall fortune cookie experience. It’s simple, fortune on the front, brand on the back. Their fortune cookies land in the hands of up to 135M consumers every month, distributed to over 50,000 restaurants and delivery platforms across the US. Fortune cookies have guided people's future decisions for generations, making it the most influential advertising medium out there. There really isn’t anything else like it.

OpenFortune took the traditional fortune cookie…And made it better.

OpenFortune elevates the fortune cookie game by utilizing that blank back slip for delivering branded content. This enthralling twist evokes a feeling of fortune, but also injects a bit more excitement into the mix with enhanced marketing efforts and powerful messages all in one bite-sized piece.

The Outcome

I partnered with Openfortune on a handful of projects to help show potential clients what their creatives could look like. Working together, we brought this branded content to life in fortune cookie form. Crafted like mini-billboards, these cleverly designed cookies can get businesses noticed by their target audience and keep them engaged with interactive content that adds meaningfully to the conversation - at the table and beyond!
